Department of Commerce started functioning from the academic year 1977-1978.

Aims and Objectives:
• To educate future practitioners in trade and commerce
• To prepare students to function more effectively and responsibly as consumers, employers, employees and citizens To inculcate attitudes and values leading to the integration of business with the social system with a positive approach
• To impart the Commerce Education to the Rural Students To Build the students to face competitive world in view of Globalization, Liberalization and Privatization
• To make the students to acquaint with modern technical know-how in the field of commerce
• To develop the Entrepreneurs
• Conducting Class Room Seminars,Encouraging students to participate in National Seminars
• Organizing workshops Collaboration with the industries.

• Teaching through Internet browsing

The Bachelor of Commerce has the objective of preparing graduates to provide students with the knowledge tools of analysis and skills with which to understand and participate in the modern business and economics world, to prepare them for subsequent graduate studies and to achieve success in their professional careers. Graduate of this degree will be knowledgeable across the core requirements of the degree. Graduates will be able to:
 Analyze business issues
 Evaluate national and international debates and discussions in economic commercial and business issues.
 Use basic mathematical and statistical tools for analyses
 Apply skills and methods to the identification, evaluation and resolution of problems.
 Use effectively information from diverse sources.
